she's a student.
Personality:
Kiya is a very laid back person and will do anything to help her family out. She is very close to her brother. Kiya likes playing all those weird games that you used to play when you were young like hide and go seek, hop scotch etc. She finds they are more amusing and it also is good when she ends up having to babysit. Kiya often is someone who will express her opinion openly and she is a bit too truthful at times where it leads to getting into small arguments with her friends.
Kiya figures if she doesn’t tell the truth then what the point is there to say anything at all. She likes to do any type of sports and is always running and goofing around with her friends. She doesn’t really like hanging around with any one particular group of people or anything and will really talk to anyone as long as it gives her something to do. Kiya can be extremely impatient and when a question isn’t answered or she is told to wait she gets annoyed and will bug slightly to get an answer. Kiya has really been used to getting what she wants a lot of the time or anything and she can be very annoying to others trying to make it so that everything always turns out her way.
Kiya likes going with her family a lot as it’s something that they don’t do often as her mother is really into her job and rarely is even home so when they schedule the trips or anything it’s something that you don’t take for granted or miss out on as it doesn’t really happen often. Kiya is someone who everyone always seems to be able to get along with easily and is easy to talk to, unless you don't give her her way.
Kiya has a bit of an attitude though and she doesn’t care how many people get mad at her or anything if they have a problem with her she wants them to let them know and she isn’t someone that likes being talked about and really she doesn’t forgive people easily if they have done something that hurt her and its especially hard to get forgiveness if they insult her family because even though its really her maids and stuff doing everything, it offends her.
Kiya is really just a young kid at heart when she is around her friends as she always has to act like an adult when at home so she liked to just laugh and have fun for when she can. She actually enjoys school more for the social aspect then anything and she finds that each day brings something new. She doesn't do her homework though she is a very clean person and if you even walked into her room or opened her locker you would wonder how she gets the grades that she does as everything is neat and orderly.
Appearance:
Kiya is exactly the prettiest girl in the school, and she is NOT ugly. Hair is probably her favorite thing about her appearance. She tends to dye it, light blonde, to a darker blonde, but it always looks amazing and shines beautifully in the sun. It's really, really long and reaches to about her mid-back. Kiya's hair has a natural little wave in it that gives her the appearance of having been wearing her hair up for hours in a row, but on her it looks good. Most of the time Kiya don't mind wearing her hair down, but she does various updos as well. A classic Kiya Jones is long waves, after all it's her favorite style and she can make it look great.
Kiya's face is a lot sharper and stands out more than her hair. It's shaped like an upside down egg with her forehead more pushed in than her chin. Out of all of Kiya's facial feature cheekbones are probably the most noticeable. They are sharply carved about an inch under her eye with the cheeks puffed up a bit underneath them. She absolutely loves her eyes! They are often a source of mystery because of the somewhat deceitful color. Most of the time from a distance they appear to be a hazel or light brown color, but if you look closer you can see that they're really a ice blue color.
She's a very tall young lady. Kiya stands at about 5 feet 9 inches which causes her to hover over everyone and that tends to be quite an annoyance. Most of the time, though, she rather enjoy being tall. Kiya would say that she has a pretty nice body. She has curves in all the right places, they're a bit small, but definitely defined. Now to stereotype her body now. If she had to guess at what body type she has Kiya would say that she's very petite. Kiya's obviously not super athletic because her bones and features are very delicate. Besides she hate sports.. Yes, her features are very delicate and it's probably safe to say that she's a little underweight.
Fashion is a girl's best friend! Kiy absolutely adores going shopping for new clothes. Fashion is one of those things that she just has to keep up with. Her usual style is a very edgy style, obviously. Mal's kind of into the feminine vintage type style now. Oh! Also things that show off her small curves properly. Make-up is Kiya's second best friend. This should be a given for any teenaged female. If you're going to be attractive after studying or partying you at least need some cover-up. Her usual look is very natural most of the time. She usually goes for a nude colored blush up her cheekbones, an earthy tone for eyeshadow or a pink, and a pale pink lipgloss. This is usually paired with a bit of just plain black mascara, which makes her naturally long eyelashes look even longer, and perfect.
History:
Kiya comes from generally a rich family though she was never really close to her parents or everything even when she was young. She has one brother that her age whom she really followed as an example when she was young as he took care of her for years before she was able to take care of herself. Both her mother and her father always were at work her mother and father being rich, perfect lawers.
Kiya still saw her father every day, but late at night, and same with her mom. but it was both her and her brother that traveled back and forth. When she was 11 years old her mother moved them back and forth, and her father came along, of course. but once more, their job demanded them to move to new york, where they could earn even more money. so, they lived in new york.
Her mother didn’t really notice Kiya's love for ballet for awhile, until a call from their princeipal told her Kiya had been skipping class, and they had seen her in the local ballet studio. Her other thought the best way to deal with it was to move again that was where she landed into Miami. Her mother and father continued lawering, while Kiya and her brother lived rich and perfect on the Miami shore.
At her new school she was social and was friendly so nobody really thought she had any problems but really she would get out of her classes and go to yet another local ballet studio, and would practice, and was getting good. she kept practicing hard, and then her mom finally cornered her one night, and they talked. she told her mom how bad she loved ballet, and how much she it helped her. she was thin and perfect, and ballet kept her in shape.
so, her parents bought kiya her own ballet studio, and they opened it up, getting the best ballet stars to train with kiya, and a few other girls. of course, being rich had it's advanteges. oh yes, it did.
Sample of Role Playing:
Why do the people always seem to be so happy when coming to the park. Vanessa could never figure out exactly why as there really was nothing enjoyable about it. The park was the same as another one just down the street or others that were located in different parts of the city. Why do people always seem to be attracted to them. She only liked them for it gave her something to do other then sit and do essays or whatever else she got for homework every night that she spent hours on mainly due to her mother though then anything. If it wasn’t the fact that her mother was needy and all she probably wouldn’t care what grades she got but because it wasn’t like that she always achieved high grades and worked all hours into the night on projects. Walking across the street to the local park, around lunch time she sighed. She noticed a lot of the families having little picnics together and all laughing and playing around. Really it disgusted her. She never thought any of that was appealing at all. Even as a little kid she had a high opinion on the fact that it was stupid to have picnics.
When Vanessa had something that she believed was right there was really no stopping her as she could make people who loved that one thing turn against it and hate whatever that was. She was very good with the use of her words and trying to convince people of things and a lot of people thought she would be good with debating but she never found any interest in it, she preferred to stick more to the arts department. She could right and do math and all that but what she really found attracting was the drawing and colours that were used together, how people took a picture a certain way could make it come to life. It all just fascinated her. And she couldn’t yet even describe it how she wanted to be someone that could get someone’s interest so quickly. If she showed her actual drawings that she had herself that would be an easy thing but she always thought of it as being just scrap and she still wanted to really sit down and work on a drawing for weeks and get it perfect but she had yet to get a really good idea.
Moving over to a shaded area from the sunlight she sat down with her back against the bark of the tree looking down at her know bent knees that came up against her chest. Her bag had dropped lightly to her side and she dug around for an apple that she had packed for both her breakfast and lunch really and took it out taking a small bite into it holding it in her fingers running the tips of her fingers against the soft skin that surrounding the inside of the apple. It really didn’t interest her all that much so she moved to get a book out. The book she brought out “twilight” was probably one of her most treasured books and definitely most read. She could read the series that came with it over and over again and she always seemed to find some new opinion about the book that she hadn’t seen before or really paid attention to that part as much.
Opening it to where her bookmark held its place she balance it on her knees her eyes scanning to the part where she had left off slowly getting into reading the book. Once she started reading she really ceased to notice the people around her at all so even the slightest noise that she caught that wasn’t normally heard could make her jump which was exactly what happened when she heard a branch snap. She ended up dropping her book to the ground and laughed slightly at even what she did ‘ need to stop being so afraid of life’ she muttered to herself quietly once she realized it was only someone walking in this general direction and that was all. It was of no importance to her yet she jumped at even a branch snapping. How small things seemed to effect her so greatly. It really wasn’t at all healthy for her. Now she moved around in her spot trying to stop fidgeting but really not getting anywhere till she gave up and just stared at the ground, actually more glared at it
